Throughout history, there have been many nations, societies, and
people groups who have been destroyed due to being Godless in all that they do. Some
might have been founded on Godly principles and there are others that have
never had a need or want for God. If it were not for God’s mercy and his hand
of wrath being held back due to those who are truly serving Him and praying for
their countries and the world to be saved we do not know what kind of calamity
would come to those on the earth that are not His children. The word of God has
given us a road map of what not to do as people and nations but it seems that
society wants to follow the road of destruction. They go against all that is
Biblical and make a point to disrupt everyone’s lives that do not agree with
their cause. Sin has blinded people to the truth that God does love them and
sin is what destroys nations.
There is hope through all this we are seeing happening in the news. That is God has and always will have a remnant (group) of believers that continually pray for Him to give us one last chance to turn back to him as a nation and as individuals. He never wants to see the fall of any nation, but when they prefer to go against the plan He had for all of us it will only create more and more to love the sin they love doing more then being righteous. It is not too late to pray for God to change you and where you live. If you think it is impossible, think again because with God all things are possible. We just have to pray and ask for Him to come and touch our nations. He will come and answer the your call.
[6] And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
[7] So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
[8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
[12] So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
[13] And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
[16] And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.
[17] So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he[a] said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.”
[18] Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords!
[19] Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die.
[20] See now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.”
[21] And he said to him, “See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken.
[22] Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.”
Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
[23] The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar.
[24] Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens.
[25] So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.
[26] But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
[27] And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the Lord.
[28] Then he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain; and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land which went up like the smoke of a furnace.
And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
Psalm 55:16 (NKJV)
[16] As for me, I will call upon God,
And the Lord shall save me.
But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
[28] The hope of the righteous will be gladness,
But the expectation of the wicked will perish.
[29] The way of the Lord is strength for the upright,
But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
[30] The righteous will never be removed,
But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.
[31] The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom,
But the perverse tongue will be cut out.
[32] The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse.
And it is on his lips like a burning fire.
[12] Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
[13] And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
[19] whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.
